Full demolition, hazmat and earthworks package across a multi-level commercial site.
Noble Works Australia was engaged by Patterson Building Group to deliver a full demolition, hazmat and earthworks package for the redevelopment of the Storage King in Chatswood. Staged across 15 months and completed in November 2025, the works required tight sequencing and close coordination with the principal contractor from start to finish.
Demolition was extensive. NWA stripped the existing multi-level structure back to ground including , blade walls, fire staircases, split-level parking ramps, a suspended level one slab and all internal fit out including wet areas, joinery, ceilings and floor finishes. Additionally several reinforced concrete columns were either removed or scabbled to accommodate a new goods lift and concrete slab. Before any structural work commenced, the full hazmat scope was completed with asbestos, SMF and PCB removal.
With the structure clear, NWA moved into the bulk earthworks including cut and fill to design levels, excavating the lift pit in rock, backfilling three retaining walls and preparing subgrade to specification for the incoming ground floor slab. A structural engineer was engaged to develop temporary propping methodologies, keeping the demolition sequence safe and compliant at every stage.
All materials were removed via rigid trucks, roads were maintained clean throughout and the site was handed back clear, safe and fully sediment-controlled ready for the next phase.
